Last week I reached out to Tim Rumble here in Morgantown who is actively involved with Troop 44. I mentioned that I had read a recent article in QST about merit badges in Scouting that contain elements surrounding amateur radio. I told him about our MWA and our VE Team that could assist in supporting those Scouts interested in amateur radio. He was quite enthusiastic and said he would spread the word and thought we could be of great assistance. If you know any local Scout Leaders, please mention this to them as well. Getting a kid involved in the bobby early in their life pays dividends for decades to come.
