[W8MWA] Mon County Fair

I am delighted to announce that the MWA will be at the Mon County Fain on
Thursday, August 4th, and Friday, August 5th.

 

We will be setting up the 10' by 20' canopy near the Hazel Ruby McQuain
building.

 

To help us make this our best showing yet, we will need your help!  We are
planning to set up at 4:00 pm each day, and tear down between 8PM and 8:30
PM.  Anyone that can get in before the gates open will not have to pay.  If
you cannot come until after the gates open, we will have 2 passes for each
night that I can try to get to you.  I'm afraid it would be first come first
served on that for each night.

 

What we need are Operators, radios, antennas, tables, and chairs.  If you
cannot go, but can lend us any equipment or tables, please contact me at
k8mig at comcast.net <mailto:k8mig at comcast.net>  or 304-276-0786, to make
arrangements to get those to us ahead of time.  If you are planning to come
out, please also let me know so that I can make sure we have coverage.

 

For a change, we can set up antennas and actually work the bands without
worrying about how to get coax through building doors, so anyone coming by
will hear you all talking to other hams all over the world!!  It should be
awesome!!
