[W8MWA] Two Meter SSB net revival

Josh,
Reviving the two-meter SSB net is a terrific idea!
The net's primary purpose was to determine the reliability of SSB on two-meters in the event of an emergency. We were interested in maximizing point-to-point voice coverage without the use of a repeater. Other than CW or a digital mode such as PSK-31, we believed that SSB offered the best operating mode for station-to-station emergency communications. That proved largely to be the case.
Over the time, we developed a decent understanding of the capabilities and limitations of SSB on two-meters. As there wasn't much more to learn, we disbanded the net. However, that certainly doesn't preclude the restart of the net and a continued understanding of SSB on two-meters.
After the net concluded, there was not enough activity to warrant keeping my rig, so I sold my multi-mode two-meter transceiver. While I can no longer participate, I am hopeful that the two-meter SSB net will be reinstated and become popular once again.

He king into the net a few times back then, however a few things got in the way and I spent over a year not really being able to check into it or any of the other ( simplex or ARES) Monday night nets.
