[W8MWA] Are kids really the future of Amateur Radio?

I think there is a lot of merit to what this guy is saying. I understand the drive to introduce a younger generation to the holy but I think pushing to get children that toying interested might be targeting an audience that is a little too young. 

I had been interested in amateur radio from a very young age thanks to a family friend being a ham, but never found the time/energy to invest in getting licensed until after I graduated college at the ripe old age of 22 :-). 

With that being said, I also think there is a lot of value in reaching out to college students, especially given the university we are blessed to share a city with. I think Michael has been doing a great job in spearheading this effort with the work he has been doing helping to rejuvenate the WVU club.
