Hey Gang!

I looked at the AMSAT Schedule and there IS a SO-50 pass at 75-degree elevation 
on Sunday at about 1:30PM. If folks could arrive a little early, we might get a chance
for a SATELLITE QSO!!!

See attached. Go to the AMSAT website for more detailed information and K6LCS Clint's 
work-sat.com for lots of good CURRENT information.

Not sure who all will be turning up for this session, but we can find something interesting
to do, I'm sure.

We can do some soldering, build some Coax jumpers, build some power connector cables,
I have some makins' for a couple of different type of antennas -- 

Something that might be helpful for folks studying for license exam is Ohm's Law.
(No, not Ohm Slaw -- this ain't no salad bar!) Deep in a box I have yet to get my hands on,
I have a few solderless proto- boards. I thought we might get some hands-on work with
Ohm's Law -- first do the math like they want us to know for the exam, then throw some
resistors on the proto-board to see if it really works they way the numbers say.

Somewhere I have a box of NPN and a box of PNP general purpose transistors and some 
NE555 timer ICs. add in a few capacitors, resistors, and coils , and we might be able to see
all sorts of things. I can drag along an oscilloscope and signal generator.

Some of the guys from Taco Thursday may be showing up-- they have been doing stuff, some
for longer than I have-- I am sure we can learn something from them.

SO keep your schedule open for Sunday afternoon -- get there early if you can, maybe we can
do some real live space communication!

I'll have my cell phone charged this week (oops, it died on me last week!) 304-672-6381
and we will listen to 146.76 and 146.520 for folks incoming. Another radio can be on 145.43 and
147.075 so plenty of help with directions.
