[W8MWA] ARES Membership update

All,

As some of you knew and now all know, Alan (KD8BMI) has taken over as
Emergency Coordinator for Mon County.  He¹s in the process of updating ARES
registration and information for local hams.  If you are an ARES member or
would like to be one please contact me at either n8ozy at comcast.net or by
phone at 304-276-0427 so I can get updated information to him.  Many members
on the list are no longer with us and others have changed contact
information.  He¹s preparing a call out sheet for distribution and would
like to complete it as soon as possible.

It¹s important that we all are prepared to render assistance when needed and
with a possible hard winter almost upon us it¹s even more urgent we get this
information updated.  ARES members are not required to be members of any
club or organization.  Only to hold a valid license and be interested in
helping others.  ARES is not a club related organization but a group of
people with a common interest in assisting in times of emergency.
