Hi Folks,
The International Space Station will be making a decent pass (67 degrees
elevation) over the southern portion of our state tomorrow. Nothing really
unusual about that, but tomorrow between 10:38am to 10:45am, our time, they
will be talking with a school group in Maryland. For the members near the
WV- Maryland border, it will be VERY easy to hear them as the pass is
nearly 90 degrees (straight overhead).
Per KB3WOA on the QRZ forum page:
DO NOT try to make a personal contact with them! This is prime time for
the kids at the school. The "window" is no more than 10 minutes on this
pass. If you've never heard the space station before, it will interesting
to listen on your handi-talkie or a small scanner. The downlink frequency
is listed below.
