[W8MWA] Technical question

Hi people..  I have a question regarding my Alinco DR-635T and the Alinco
EJ-50U TNC module.

The module is a plug in unit the resides within the radio, the output is
via an D-Sub 9 connector on the rear of the radio.  I know some of the
older GPS units like Garmins and so forth had an D-Sub 9 Serial connector
on them, but the burning question is how do I hook up a modern one.

Maybe there is some form of a plug in type of GPS that will be compatible
with the 9 pin?..  Using the 9 pin seems outdated to me, most items as we
know use an USB connection.

So I am open to ideas before committing myself to a purchase of this item.
 I would love to hear any feedback regarding this.

I feel this is Bills (K8BDR) fault, as I have been seeing him floating
around on the APRS Google maps, in fact he is on the move as I type this..
lol
