[W8MWA] Mon Co Fair

To all Hams that are in range of the MWA repeater:

 

We are going to try to get some of the kids on the air Saturday at the Fair
from 12 to 4 on  145.43 w/PL 103.5.  If any of you could, please have your
radios nearby so you could respond when we put out a call.  We will just
have them give their first names, but if they can have a little chat for a
minute or two with some of you, that would be great.  We have some cards
made that say they got on the air at the fair, and will give those to each
child until we run out of the cards.  We will continue to call out as long
as there are children that want to try talking on the air.

 

Please note that we are not conducting business in the state of West
Virginia and we really do not need to have any lectures about it either
through email or on the air.  We are simply trying to give the children a
little taste of Ham radio.  We have permission from the Repeater Trustee to
use the MWA repeater.  Those of us using the radios will all be licensed
Hams.
