[W8MWA] Repeaters in PA

Bob,

I tried bringing up the N3QZU repeater in Acme, Pennsylvania, but was not successful. However, I am only running 5-watts out on six-meters and my six-meter dipole is radiating primarily east-west while the repeater is north-east of me. I suspect that the repeater is vertically polarized costing me about a 20 db due to cross-polarization with my dipole. So no big surprise that the repeater couldn't hear me.

Still it was fun trying bringing up the machine--especially since I have yet to make a six-meter contact from my QTH!
