I ran across this earlier today and thought some other folks on the list might be interested.

YAAC is a cross platform java based aprs client that supports Mac, Linux, FreeBSD, windows and possibly other platforms. 

It is still in an early beta release but looks like it might be an excellent aprs client for Mac and Linux systems.
