As you might have heard a small plane hit the WNPB tower this morning damaging the upper area of the tower including the WNPB antenna.

As of this time the W8MWA repeater and W8MWA-5 digipeater are still 100% functional and we can access them remotely if needed to adjust configurations.

We will still be assisting the Triathlon with communications since there voice repeater and digital repeater are functional.

We have however lost Chris Miffit for this weekend due to a death in his family so let keep his family in our thoughts.

***Any and all members of the Monongalia County Amateur Radio CLub are invited to join forces with the Monongalia Wireless Assoc. for Field Day 2012 at Mason-Dixon Historical Park since the incident at the WNPB tower the FAA & NTSB has restricted access to the site till further notice.

So if you are a member of the Monongalia County Amateur Radio Club, please feel free to come out for Field Day with us as the door is always open at the MWA club to ALL HAMS,

Jacob Tennant - WF8S
