Conneaut Amateur Club Meeting Minutes

Attendees:
KC8RJO, KB3ZVH, N3KQE, W8NEO, W3MJA, KB3ZRC
Meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance at 19:46.
Minutes motioned to approve minutes as emailed & printed by KB3ZVH & W8NEO, passed
Treasurer’s Report, same as last month + $9.50. Online access, locked. W3MJA, 2nd KB3ZRC motioned to accept, passed
Committee Reports;
Radio: 	    No Report
HamFest: Inquiries about tailgating, under new business Still a go for Oct 18. Posting across several sites. And newspaper/tv calendars. Prizes under old business. Motioned by W8NEO & W3MJA to accept committee reports.
Old Business: 
Radios $350 not enough for radios for this, but we don’t have enough for this. In order to do, we need to break CD for $514.90 cost. Discussion of CD being broken. What is the penalty for breaking before CD matures? Other option: W8NEO would buy radios 1st and reimbursed after fest. Motion to table until KC8WFJ arrives. W8NEO & KC8RJO & passed.
Food: Legion Auxiliary or April offered to cook. After discussion, was motioned to let Legion Auxiliary to handle food. Motion by W8NEO motioned to have Auxiliary (Mike doesn’t want April to take wrong way) & W3MJA passed.
Signs are taken care of per KC8RJO & W8NEO before HamFest.
New Business: 
HamFest: Advertising discussed local radio & nets to spread the word.
Tailgating discussion. Several ideas passed around. W8NEO motioned to allow tailgating, but motioned failed due to no 2nd.
Good of the Order:
Nomination of Officers (see 2nd page)
KC8WFJ via phone: will try to access acct tomorrow. Discussion of how to cover prizes. Motion by KC8WFJ that if less than $100 fine, then go ahead and crack the cd. If more, write check Fri before HamFest & Make sure profits from HamFest are deposited the Mon after. 2nd by W8NEO, passed.
