Union City Wireless Association Foxhunt - Sunday September 24, 2023 - 2 pm
until 4 pm


Where: Erie County Townships: Greene, Amity and Venango, Union Township
(North of the center line of US Route 6) and Union City Borough

 

Who will Be the Fox? N3NKV

 

N3NKV (the Fox) will setup a station on publicly accessible land somewhere
in the one of the locations listed above. 

 

The objective is to find N3NKV using RDF techniques in the allotted two
hours.

 

Schedule of Events:

1:50 pm - N3NKV will take check ins on the 146.70 repeater of event
participants.

 

2:00 pm - N3NKV will activate to the fox hunt transmitter on the 146.550.

 

Status updates will be provided when a hunter finds the fox on the 146.70
repeater.

 

The Transmitter will be operating at a power of 5 Watts.

 

Participants will have 2 hours to find the transmitter.

After 2 hours (or less) the transmitter location will be revealed.

 

Afterwards, we will meet at the Union City McDonalds or other location to
discuss the day's hunt.

 

Note: Team participation is encouraged.

 

Note 2: it is encouraged that participants begin the event outside the
boundaries of the four townships
