Radio Amateurs of Corry


Minutes for March 1, 2016


At 7:00 pm a program about proper operating proceedures was presented.


At 7:30pm, President N3NKV called the meeting to order.


Roll Call of Officers- Present: President N3NKV, Vice President
KB3QBA, Treasurer K3JAF, and Secretary KA3RDA.


Secretary KA3RDA read the Secretary's report for February 2, 2016..  A
motion to accept the Secretary's report as read was made by K3JAF and
seconded by N3RSN.  Motion carried.


Treasurer K3JAF gave the Treasurer's report.  A motion to accept and
file the Treasurer's report was made by KC3CXO and seconded by AB3XZ.
Motion carried.


Bills and Communications:


Membership:  A motion to accept Ken Vossler (KG2CU) as a member of the
RAC was made by K3JAF and seconded by AB3XZ.  Motion carried.


Repeater:  Working good.


Website:  Updating issues.


Facebook:  A lot of useful information being put on the RAC page.


VE:  VE exams are given on the second Thursday of each month at the
Union City Elementary School.  Anyone who needs to be tested is asked
to get in touch with N3NKV. Always looking for Extra Class Operators
to join the VE team.


New classes will be held next fall if enough people sign up.


Field Day:  Field Day will be held at the Sportsman's Club in
Spartansburg.  It was mentioned that the June meeting of the RAC will
be held at the Field Day Site.


Old Business:  VFW breakfast to be held on April 3, 2016.


New Business:  A discussion took place about having a Amateur Radio
Display at the Spartansburg Fair from September 3 – 10, 2016.


Treasure r K3JAF talked about switching insurance companies to get a
better rate.  A motion to switch to the new insurance company was made
by N3rsn and seconded by KC3DEO.  Motion carried.


A motion to adjourn was made by K3JAF and seconded by N3RSN.  Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 8:10pm.
