Comm events.
The Simulated Emergency Test (SET) outline was just shared. It will involve
checking in via Winlink. For those of you not familiar with Winlink, but
want to learn. I will be at the clubhouse this Saturday and be giving
information training starting at about 1200hrs EDT.
If possible, bring the following things.
A Laptop with Windows 10/11 installed. (and neccessary accesories (mouse,
power adapter, etc)
(Winlink Express is a Windows only software, there are linux tools but that
will be at a later time)
The radio you indend to use for Winlink (I will have gear for demonstraion
and Winlink can be used without RF)
Sound card interface (Digirig, SignalLink USB)
In addtion please have the following programs installed or at least
downloaded. (It will save us time)
Winlink Express (The program used to send radio emails.

Sound modem (A software modem for packet radio)

No worries if you do not have any portable gear. This will be an informal
training/education session.
(If there is demand I can always start an MS Teams meeting for those who
cannot make it out to the clubhouse.)
