[W3GV] 61 Jammer - Something has to be done!

Why? So we can have another repeater that nobody uses? No seriously, why? .61 and .82 and .70 when linked have excellent coverage, and why not use them? If gods forbid there’s a real need, we should know that they’re working, available, and reliable. And anyway, aren’t ARES/RACES under the auspices of the local clubs?

As to suggestions for thwarting the jammers, I’d say changing codes would be the best starting point. If I’m not mistaken, aren’t CTCSS tones done by area these days and sort of agreed by the repeater coordinator or something up here?

I don’t currently have anything to gain or lose by this message, as I’m not a club member either currently. (My work schedule means I don’t get to go to meetings anyway.) And I haven’t heard this jamming activity either…same reason.
