I know you folks have been having a problem with the "yo-yo" turning off the
repeater during nets and spelling certain words over the repeater.
This person knows how repeaters and DTMF decoders work. These decoders are
now available as apps on cell phones.
This can be fixed really easily - try reprogramming your repeater
controller's control codes.
To stop the turning off of the controller, go to the Macros tab in the RCP
Programming Software.
In the DAT File of the RCP program of the ARCOMM Controller, find the macros
that turn off/on the repeater and also the ones to turn off/on the 82
link.
You can change the code to be up to 8 digits. The harder the better.
To Change the code for the test of the letters being read back on the
keypad, select Special Codes/Autopatch in the RCP software.
Go to DTMF Pad Test and Change the code there.
Maybe this will fix the problem without a Foxhunt.
