[W3GV] Public Safety Expo

Hi  Everyone, 
The annual public safety expo  is coming up soon. I am looking for about 
5-7 active ARES/RACES/SKYWARN members  to help with manning the table and to 
help promote the hobby. We are looking for  people who can really work the 
crowd.  We all know how important emergency  communications are for public 
safety.   However, I want to get another  message across.  I am looking for 
enthusiastic hams who cannot help but to  show how fun the hobby can be. 
This expo is going to be  a bit different than most we have setup for.  We 
will be doing more  explaining than operating 
Here is some background about  the public safety expo: 
Location: Convention Center  down at the Bayfront 
Dates and Times:   
Saturday April 11-   10 am to 6 pm
Sunday April 12- 11 am to 4 pm  

Tentative plans=
*Display  Board explaining how to get your license; what you can do with 
amateur radio ,  and brief descriptions about ARES/RACES/SKYWARN.  
*Homemade video presentation  using audio and video from the October 2014 
Simulated Emergency Test and the  2013 Union City Tornado Skywarn Net  
*Demonstration of Echolink and  Allstar.  All is dependent on WIFI 
capabilities.   
*Various handouts. 

No  Large Antennas will be strung up. 
My goal for this is to keep it  simple yet informative at the same time.
