Hi All...I think we had a very good turnout for these 2 contests. On Sat.,
for the SSB and VHF contests, there were 9 members in attendance. Some
operated, some logged, which is a BIG help, and some just were there to lend a
hand and socialize. The SSB contest was just for 12 hours on Sat. We all
left about 4:30. The VHF contest continued on through Sunday, and in the
morning Rick WA3MKT, John WB3IFD and myself were there.

In the SSB contest we had 89 contacts with a claimed score of 3115. I
forgot to get the figures for the VHF contest, but I believe we had 18
contacts, all done by Rick and John. I grabbed the mic for a few CQ's but nothing.
I am having trouble getting the contest log off the hard drive of the
computer. It will not recognize my finger drive, and does not recognize that a
CD in the DVD/CD drive. Might be something I am doing wrong. If anyone can
get it downloaded, it would be appreciated.

Thank you to Rick for bringing and setting up the VHF rig for the contest.
He worked a long time to get it working with our antenna. Thanks to John
for bringing a veggie tray, bean dip tray, AND POTATOE CHIPS!! Joe KA3CPV was
in charge of coffee.

We will be at it again this Sunday morning starting about 9:00AM, for the
10-10 International DX Contest. It actually begins Sat. night at 7:00 PM. I
don't expect 10m to be open then. Should be interesting is 10m is in good
shape, as we will most likely will be running the legal limit.
