The Wattsburg Wireless Association (WWA) conducts Amateur Exams every third
Saturday of the month at the Greene Township Bldg at 9 AM. There are
usually 5 to 9 VE examiners there. They accept walkins. I usually go and
get info for the QuaRae. There is no reason for both club to give exams.
The WWA does a good job. Craig Hill and myself conduct classes when there
is some interest. Our classes are free. Corry club is conducting Tech
classes through the Corry school district. You can get more information of
the Corry Club site. (I don't know the URL, you need to google it. We also
meet at the club house every Thursday 6 to 8 PM to talk about amateur radio
and to operate the new TS2000 radio into a 1500 Watt Linear, into a seven
element tribander at 55 feet. If you can hear them you can work them. We
also are participating in the contests both CW and SSB. Almost every
weekend there is participation in the contests.

Subject: Testing
Hey, John,
Here's a voice from the past, with a question of course.
Anyhow, who conducts amateur licensing tests now? Where? When? Cost?
Maybe a mention in the QUARAE would be nice.
I don't think the RAE gives the tests any more. Do you know why not?
