[W3GV] 61 repeater? connecting to echolink node

Paul,
At present we are not able to enter in a specific node number via the 61 controller to connect it to another echolink node.  There are some limitations on our controller  to do that. In the future, if the Echolink is moved over to 440. Certain nodes can be preprogrammed in similar to what W3MIE is doing down in Meadville.  As for a time frame, I do not have any information.  I do not handle any of the Echolink stuff.  I am just a member of the repeater committee.

Subject: [W3GV] 61 repeater? connecting to echolink node

Is it possible, now that the repeater is on echolink, to connect to
another echolink node using my HT?  Are there special tones to do
this? I've tried the * that the echlink site says will respond with
node info  and just the node number but there was no response.
