Ham In A Day class, Warren,
PA.
________________________________
Who: To EVERYONE interested, please feel free to
forward this.
What: HAM IN A DAY
When: Saturday March 24th
2012
Where: Warren Salvation Army 311 Beech St. Warren PA.
16365
Why: There have been numerous interests in Amateur Radio over the
past 2 years, and since I have held previous "HIAD" (Ham In A Day) sessions, it
is time to hold another one again.
Amateur Radio assists the public in
ways they rarely notice OR hear about, volunteers like us get little to no
recognition but volunteer without question when and how we are
able.
Preregistration is required, the last day to register is March
20th, to assure we have enough study materials for all.
I have set an
initial limit of 40 applicants. There is NO FEE for the class. Please bring food
and drinks as you feel necessary, as this is a free class there is no provision
for food and drinks to be provided. There is a 1 hour lunch
period.

turn right into Warren (crossing the Glade Bridge) on Pennsylvania Avenue,
following PA. AVE. for over 2 miles until Beech Street, turn right on Beech,

Amateur Radio
operators assist in nearly every hurricane and large tornado event as they are
needed and their time allows them to volunteer, Amateurs volunteer for many
other events including bicycle races, marathons, dog sled races, and anywhere
there is a need for communications assistance.
Even if you are viewing
this event page as a currently licensed Amateur, you just might possibly know
someone else that may be interested in becoming a "ham", by all means, pass this
information along and let them know.
I am currently still in the early
planning stages of this session and do not know which organization will be doing
the examinations at the end of the day, so I have no idea what the testing fee
is currently, everyone will be well covered by bringing $20 with them, who
knows, you will either have the fee (if any) covered with change, or you have a
spare $20 in your pocket, I will definitely update this page when I find out the
final fees myself.
I will check this event page very often and make any
and all updates known as soon as possible, as well as try to answer all
questions to the best of my knowledge.
