Thanks for the update Al...
To update all on the club echolink, it is up and running under the club callsign W3GV-R. It will be operational for the most part 24/7, although i will have to take it out of service for general maintenance on a limited basis. Please remember that you still need to call cq as some people just log on to test to see if they can. This is a known annoyance of all echolink servers and is mentioned on echolink.org. Access policies also listed on the echolink.org website include 7. Once validated, a station must not share or "lend" its password to another station, particularly to an individual who is not licensed. In addition, any user who tries to present forged documents for validation, or documents obtained without permission, will be permanently barred.
Email me if there are any questions concerning the node.

The LIST can now be used for open discussion on any RAE related topics, Ham
related items (IE: radio, antenna, or operating modes) or for sale/wants.
Your message will be posted immediately upon receipt. Replies will
automatically be sent back to the LIST Server and distributed to the
membership unless you change the send to address (do this if you want a
private reply to the person posting) before you hit the send button.
Please keep posts HAM related and play nice. The RAE board of directors
reserves the right to drop anyone from the LIST for just cause.
Now, if we could just find a way to use the LIST to distribute SBU's
chocolate candy.. Wouldn't that be nice?
