We are now at a ACS Activation Level 3 due to the possibility of the
heavy wet snow that is forecast for the area. Temperatures will be a major
factor in determining whether this is a rain or snow event. At this time,
Cleveland NWS is forecasting colder temperatures and thus leaning towards more
snow. With most trees having leaves on them, snow will accumulate
quickly. There is a high probability of power outages due to falling trees and
limbs as well as heavy snow gathering on utility wires.
Local team leaders have been notified of possible activations. If you are
on an assigned team and have not been contacted by your team leader,
please contact them with your availability ASAP.
Please take necessary precautions to protect your home & family in
preparation for this storm.
Please monitor local media, NWS weather radio, or 2 meters for updates.
Alan, KB3DUO, will have current information on the net this evening at 9:00
PM.

=========================================
At 1:00 PM we went to ACS Activation Level 3. ACS Activation level 3
signifies threats that require situational awareness and will affect more than
one jurisdiction.
An unusual condition, event, or non-declared emergency exists that has
caused state or local officials to declare a warning. All PEMA ACS unit
members and/or affiliated and/or assisting organizations are put on Alert status
and should monitor their assigned ACS net frequencies, email, and
notification system(s) for additional information on possible deployment notices.
