GM Cherryville

Last night we conducted an informal net/rag chew on 40 to celebrate World Amateur Radio Day.

The net commenced at 19:00 on 7280 Kc.

Present were:

WA2RT         Rob

K2TZ            Wes

N2VJK          Art

K2MRH         Lenny

KD2S            Chris

W2TQ           Jane - with special guest star Jane’s mom Silvia

KR2C            Kurt

K3SLJ           Len

K2RRX          Phil

KC2AES        Maurice

When the QRM/QRN on 7280 got a bit much we looked for smoother air and QSY’d to our proposed 2ry frequency of 7180.

We operated there for a short period of time until we realized that there was a net at 7182 and it was stomping on us.

One of their net participants broke in and requested us to QSY south 1 Kc, which we did with alacrity and grace - never to fear the wrath of the Wouff-Hong.

The net went QRT at approximately 20:20 Hours since it was a school night.

Many thanks to all that participated.
