Walter:

The parameters at memory location 40 appear to be correct for Cherryville's 440 machine.   Were you tuned to memory channel 40 when you tried to check into the CERT net last night? 

If you have another entry for CERTNET programmed into another memory channel with the wrong tone or offset programmed in and were listening on that one, it would explain how you could hear but not get in.  A similar scenario would be observed if you were tuned to 440.850MHz in VFO mode without the other parameters properly set. 

Other things that could affect performance are atmospheric propagation or your antenna itself if there is a loose connection.  Because of the difference in our transmit power with respect to that of the repeater, the ability to transmit degrades before the ability to receive does.

Hello,

I tried to get onto the CERT Net last night and received well, but I could not transmit and be heard.  The attached screenshot is the programming on my Btech UV-50X2, and the channel for CERT Net is program number 40.

Can anyone tell me what I've gotten wrong with these setting please?  I would appreciate any help.
