Hello members and friends,

Sad news for the banquet - it is canceled.

There has been concern from the membership about gatherings, many members don't want the exposure.  They have good reasons, some are not able to take the vaccine for health reasons, which makes it even worse if they do catch covid.  Others are caretakers for loved ones who would not be able to tolerate the virus.

Also, the church mandated mask wearing, and the new variant is taking off.  January looks like it will be a wash, I think it is quite possible that the church will cancel gatherings all together until the omicron variant passes.

So, I feel bad about not having the gathering, but I think we should not risk any of our members or friends getting sick because of us.  That is also the consensus of the board.
