[W2CRA] International Lighthouse weekend, Aug 15-16, 2026

Now that Warships, FIFA World Cup, and 13 Colonies ham special events are over, the next special event I'm following is International Lighthouse Heritage Weekend. 
 
It is annually held on the 3rd full weekend in August.  It will commence 00:01 UTC on Saturday, August 15 and continue for 48 hours.
 
I found a list of the participating lighthouses for 2025 and their callsigns at illw.net.  Over 40 countries and more than 500 lighthouses participated.  Towards the bottom of the 20+ pages of lighthouses are the USA stations and their callsigns.
 
I plan on putting many of them in my Ham Alert notification so when they come on air, I'll know their mode, band, frequency to try for a contact.
 
It is not a contest, so no prizes for contacting large numbers.  My goal will be to get at least 10 USA lighthouses.  I might even try for get lighthouses in 10 countries.
