[W2CRA] Interested in becoming a VE?

Len,

You made a good suggestion to CRA members. The test for VE is 40 questions and is open book. Use CTL + F for the find function.

Two of the clubs in my area run VE sessions, each in alternating months. One club usually has 7 VEs and the other club has 9 at test sessions. We divide the test takers by exam level and split up to have review sessions that cover the most missed questions, usually the ones that involve math, LOL.

One club started a grant program to give an HT to anyone under 21 who takes and passes the test for Technician. We have only had a few takers but we are gaining traction in some of the local high schools. A demo session on digital modes has helped to get HS students interested in Amateur Radio.

These are the people that will be giving the exams at our hamfest tomorrow. We are set for that, but it would be nice to have more VEs available to share the load.
