[W2CRA] Chiari Malformation Awareness fundraiser

Members,

     Some of you know my daughter Kati and that she suffers from Chiari Malformation. Chiari is when your brain is too big for your skull and the bottom of the brain(cerebral tonsils) sits on top of the vertebra in the neck and cuts off the flow of spinal fluid. This causes severe headaches dizziness numbness in arms and legs as well as many other health issues. Kati has had two brain surgeries since 2021. The first was to remove the c-1 vertebra in her neck and have a mesh sewn on the  bottom of the cerebral tonsils to help support them up off of the spine. 
     Every September is Chiari awareness month. The chiari foundation has walks all over the country two Saturdays in September to raise money for Chiari research and awareness. 
     We are hosting a walk at Deer path park Sept 23rd  10:30 to 1  registration begins at 9.  We have an area in the park that is about a mile walk.  I’ve attached a link to my page for the fundraiser. If you can come out and walk with us or just want to make a donation that’s ok too.

Hunterdon county commissioners will be lighting the county library purple for Chiari this month.
