I was reading the obits and saw that a Gary DeMave passed away at 76 in Bangor PA on November 26. There was a fellow in the club with that name. There was no mention of HamRadio in his obit, so I did more research, and his middle initial matches, town matches, so it is him. I remember him bringing a parrot to the club meetings and having it on his shoulder. So RIP Gary.
