It is my opinion that the control site has to be the weakest link in our repeater network. We need to come up with a plan to eliminate the dependency on on this site and I believe that this should be a top priority. We should revisit the plans we discussed several years ago now and set some actions. Unless I'm convinced differently, we should refocus our attention from remote site packages to this.-Kurt, KR2CSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
-------- Original message --------From: William Powell <whp at att.net> Date: 8/8/20 7:50 AM (GMT-05:00) To: CRA Reflector <w2cra at mailman.qth.net> Subject: [W2CRA] CRA: 375 Status All,The 375 repeater is down due to loss of AC power at the control site.We get power via an extension cord to the basement of the house powering an Astron 12V supply maintaining a 150 AHbattery that powers the link receivers, voter, controller and phone line interface. On my way this afternoon I observed that at least one house appeared to have power - unsure about the rest.OR . . . it could be:Loss of AC from the street, Service disrupted / disconnected, extension cord unplugged, power supply issues, voterissues, controller issues, phone line interface / phone line. The board needs to come up with contingency plans and implement them.I "might" be able to take a look early next week. In the meantime there is 444.85, 147.015, 224.120 and 446.475.Bill - WB1GOT-- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software.https://www.avast.com/antivirus______________________________________________________________W2CRA mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/w2craHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:W2CRA at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
