Cherryvillers,
I can help set up Friday evening and Saturday morning. And hopefully will do some operating once the event officially starts. But I also have obligations Saturday evening and Sunday. Sorry, I won’t be available to help tear down.
I hope the weather cooperates this year.
Best wishes for a successful Field Day 2018!
73,
   Tom AB2FG

    Hi all:

I have about 150 lbs of block ice, three large coolers and about five cases of iced tea, juices and bottled water left over from my church picnic. I will bring some of it with me Friday evening and the remainder Saturday.

                                                                        G.

    Cherryville Field Day

    When

2018 ARRL Field Day is June 23-24

CRA will begin set up for field day on the evening of June 23.

We are requesting members that can help move our equipment from out trailer at the Route 12 County Complex meet there about 5:00pm. This of you who have a pickup truck or a trailer to please assist with this. The rest of us that are available can meet at the Field Day site at around 5:30pm to help set up our equipment. Friday evening, we will concentrate on setting up the tents, tables, chairs, and electricity. Please note that we will have to carry the equipment in from the road behind the tree line on the west side of the field. We cannot drive vehicles on the grass this year. The Hunterdon County Complex can be found here. County Complex

On Saturday morning starting around 9:00am, we will gather at the Field Day site to start putting up the antennas and to set up the stations. After this has been completed and tested, burgers will be served along with other food/drinks members have provided. The Field Day exercise will run for 24 hours starting at 2:00pm on Saturday and ending at 2:00pm on Sunday.

At 2:00pm on Sunday, the Field Day exercise will end. At this time, our club members will begin to break down the Field Day site and reload our equipment into the pickup trucks and trailers for return to the Route 12 County Complex Storage trailer. It is important that we have as many members assisting with this process as we will all be tired. Many hands make light work.

    Where

The club will once again have its Field Day exercise at the Riegel Ridge Community Center located in Milford, NJ. Field Day Site Please keep in mind that we have been asked to keep vehicles off the grass this year. We will be in the field down the hill from the parking lot just outside the pool area.

    Food

We are planning for a small BBQ starting around 12:00pm on Saturday. Hopefully, we will have most of the stations build and antennas up. I’m going to bring some hamburgers, cheese and rolls. I believe that Bill is bringing his club famous chili. We can certainly use side dishes, salads, chips, etc. In addition, it is typically hot. Water and drinks in and ice filled cooler would be a great contribution.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.
