Ladies and Gentlemen

 

I and the Club desperately need your help at the Skyland's Triathlon,
Sunday, September 10th, 2017!

 

The first wave of swimmers are scheduled to hit the water at 8:00am.

The bike course is 13.6 miles (one trip) many will be making two trips
around the course' that's why it takes so many of us to 

monitor the course.

 

This course is difficult on simplex so we'll be using 147.375 (PL 151.4)
with 147.015 as back-up.

Last year 147.015 failed on PL (it does cover better) and now we use digital
squelch on .015, please program your radios accordingly.

 

Bill, WB1GOT will fill us in on this since I can't remember it (Please
Bill!).

 

We meet in the main parking lot, please try to be there as early as 7:00 to
7:30am, That parking lot fills fast.

 

Please;

Use a Gain Antenna.

Leave your hand mike home.

Dress appropriately, mornings are cold (usually) warming up later.

Have a spare battery (if not a spare radio, too)

Make sure everything (your radio) is properly programmed.

Many locations will accommodate the use of your vehicle but, keeping an eye
on what's happening

my be impossible from your car or truck.

Bring a friend (spotter to help you) if you can.  

 

We've been short on people for several years now, please help us!
