As many of you know, this weekend is our annual Hamfest. This event is 
our single biggest fundraiser for the club.  As such, we consider this 
an "All Hands" event.  If you are able to make it we would surely like 
to see you.  Many hands make light work.


Here are the logistics:

Instead of our regular club meeting, we will instead set up for our 
event.  Some of us will meet at the trailer at around 5:30pm to bring 
the necessary items from there to the high school.  If everybody who 
says they are going to the trailer shows up, then I think we have enough 
people for that.  For the rest of us, we will meet at North Hunterdon 
High School at 6:00pm Friday evening.  We will need to do a little 
physical work like moving lots of tables and chairs and wiring up the PA 
system.  If all goes well, I believe that we should be out by 9:00pm.  
Phil K2RRX had a great suggestion on the net.  Bring a pair of light 
gloves because who know what is lurking under the tops of the tables.  
To reward your effort, there will be pizza and soda.

On Saturday, we will gather at the high school around 6:00am.  We need 
to be there at that time to do last minute set ups and to greet our 
vendors and get them to the right tables. If you didn't sign up for a 
job on Friday night then this is you opportunity to sign up for a job 
position. We really hop to get this done Friday though.  Please don't 
worry about not having an opportunity to look around.  We should have 
enough people so that we can give people ample breaks to see the show or 
to that a test.  We will be using our tradition club simplex frequency 
during the event so bring your HT to keep in the loop.

After the event, I'm hoping that most of you can stick around and help 
us break down.  This involves getting the tables and chairs back to 
their previous locations and loading up the vehicles to take the club 
stuff back to the trailer.

Again, this is one of the clubs premiere events.  We need as many club 
members to help out as we can get.  Please help us make this a success 
as the majority of the attendees are our peers. During the event, please 
take the time to talk to both the attendees and the vendors.  Make them 
feel at home.
