Thanks to Dave - KD2DB and Phil - K2RRX the doors of the repeater cabinets are now ventilated front and back. No, we
didn't shoot them full of holes. Phil cut some perforated metal I found and Dave primed, painted and notched them to
fit and helped install them today.
We still need to strong-ish folks to replace the uhf repeater so I can get it hooked up and programmed to get 444.85
back up to it's expected level of performance. Then - 147.375 and the Henry amp. That will also require one or 2
people to help mount stuff in that cabinet: cavities, amplifier, power supply and batteries, exciter . . . Then the
wiring. This one in NOT a one afternoon project as there is measuring, cutting and trips out for parts.
I'm also looking for one person who is a champ at puzzles to measure and make a template for the monitors in the RACES
room so I can have sheet metal water jet cut and bent for bezels around the computer monitors. This one is not a rush
and needs to be right the first time as water jet time is not cheap - nor is the sheet metal.
Thanks all for your past and future help.
Bill - WB1GOT
