As many of you already know, our VP, Tom Kachnowski - AB2FG was involved in a serious auto accident:

Tom asked me to pass this along:

Hi Bill,

Again, I appreciate the concern of club members.
I was discharged from the hospital a week ago but am staying at my daughter's place because it will be a while before
I'll be able to do stairs. Physical therapist due here tomorrow morn. I will probably have to do several weeks of PT. I
saw my wife on Saturday. She was alert and communicative. I don't want to go into details, but she's undergone a number
of surgeries. She's making good progress, but started from a much worse situation than mine.
Some new news about the accident itself. We had been alerted by an electronic sign of an accident, and had come to a
halt along with other cars. The guy who hit us, apparently slammed into us from behind at 70 mph! Both side and front
air bags deployed in our car. Don't know much about that guy except he tested negative for drugs and booze.      I
appreciate the offer to help, but am OK for now on that score: getting lots of help from family and neighbors.
