Hello Cherryville!<br/><br/>Wanted to let everyone know that my wife, Chris, had a successful surgery today to remove a meningioma (a growth inside the lining of the brain).  A few of you were aware that she was having the surgery.  I will not be at the Board meeting tomorrow, or the club meeting Friday night but hope all of you will attend. <br/><br/>We have some important things going on right now and all of you need to be available. Work to relocate the two repeaters into the transmitter building will be ongoing through the end of the year. Please ask Bill, WB1GOT, how you can help make it happen. The Turkey Trot is on Thanksgiving morning. If you are available, please ask Bill or Tony, W2HWW, to sign you up. The more hours you contribute, the better chance you have to get a significant award at the awards dinner. Speaking of the awards dinner, reach out to Roberto, K2PA by land line and save him having to call you to RSVP!  He needs to know how many
 will be coming (this event is open to your family and friends, folks) and what dish you will be bringing. <br/><br/>Last, but most important, is the CRA Hamfest 2014. We need to advertise this like we haven't done in 10+ years. Print off some flyers and post them at your favorite store, the local Radio Shack, your favorite electronics supply place, at church, or wherever you spend your non ham time. Send a copy by e-mail to all your ham friends and let them know, with a personal invitation. Have them bring a friend!  This is our sole income and we need a good one this time so we can upgrade our remote receive packages for 147.375.  Everyone needs to pitch in now to make it happen. <br/><br/>Look forward to seeing all of you, your friends, and families at the Awards/Holiday Dinner next month!
