I am available!
All I need is where and when and I will be there!
We don't need a survey and a report, we need to do it, some coordination from Tony and/or Bill who know what/hpow needs to be done...other s can supply muscle. As most of us don't have as much muscle ('cept tween my ears) the more hands - lighter the load - easier for all. Also any carts, dollies or hand truck may help moving cabinets.

>Folks,
>
>As I mentioned at both the board and general meeting we need to begin
>preparing for our move to the new county tower in Cherryville which is
>preliminarily scheduled in the June / July timeframe. At that time, the
>hardline to our existing site will be cut and the old tower taken down and
>removed.
>
>We have been offered space (no idea just how much - no one willing to commit and
>certainly not in writing) in the county transmitter building BUT we won't be
>bringing the haywire mess from the blockhouse: the wicked witch and her 2 evil
>stepdaughters won't let that happen. EVERYTHING MUST be to PROFESSIONAL
>STANDARDS.
>So - we COMPLETELY clean up our act by June / July or loose the site AND
>repeater coordination; 375 is dead, dead, dead.
>
>Bob - OEE delivered 2 cabinets (thank you Bob) for our use in the county
>building but, due to lack of help, we had to leave the cabinets outdoors, in the
>weather, in order to get his truck unstuck. If / when they rust they become
>junk and will NOT go into the county building and we'll need new ones or put our
>stuff in open racks where it WILL get fucked with. It's LOCKED cabinets or
>OFF-THE-AIR.
>
>When it comes time to move the stuff over help WILL be needed and, as far as I
>am concerned should be an all-hands affair, even if most stand around and try to
>look intelligent.
>
>Basically - does anyone give a simple rat's ass about 375 or does it get put out
>of it's misery? If the consensus is to keep it AND there is manpower to back up
>that consensus then I'll outline the work needed to make the transition.
>Otherwise, it looks like you are on your own.
>
>I expect that someone on the board will take a formal survey / vote on this
>issue and share the results. However, as far as I am concerned, it's time to
>put up ior shut up.
>
>I intend to keep 444.85 up for County RACES use even if I or the County have to
>replace it and take it closed / private. Coordination on 440 isn't a problem -
>getting coordinated on 2M IS(1) a LARGE problem. 90 days(2) after 375 goes
>silent we LOOSE the coordination and will NEVER get it back - NEVER!
