Hello Cherryville!!
 
Hope everyone is surviving the summer so far.  My painting arm is tired tonight, so I will type instead!
 
At our last Board meeting, I brought to the Board Members attention that we had several leftover door prizes from Hamfest 2013 that we had not given away, and inquired what they thought we should do with them.  After some discussion, it was decided that we would make them door prizes for the next several club meetings.  The plan is as follows:
 
1. The list of items is:
 
1 Universal Radio cooler lunch bag
1 Yaesu car cup
1 ARRL Repeater Directory 2012/13
1 Opek NMO Dual band V/U Antenna
3 ARRL Gift Certificates $25 each
3 Yaesu 50th Anniversary hats
1 Kenwood go kit bag
1 "Listening to Longwave" book
1 Amateur Station log book

2. Each fully paid member in attendance will receive one free drawing ticket.  Additional tickets can be purchased at $1.00 each if you wish to increase your chances of a win.
 
3. The holder of the winning ticket drawn at the end of the meeting will randomly choose his prize by pulling a slip of paper with a prize number written on it from a container.  
 
4.  One prize will be drawn at each of the next 12 meetings, not including the December Holiday Awards Dinner meeting.  Prizes at that meeting will continue to be given based upon the top two or three club members having the highest number of club service hours.
 
The Board decided that if the door prize idea brings out a larger regular attendance at monthly meetings, it will be reviewed prior to the last prize being given away and the process continued.  This depends on ALL of you.  Who knows?  Maybe the prizes will increase in value?
