HELLO CHERRYVILLE de KA2OEE
Wanted to give everyone an update on the July 4 Parade in Lebanon.
We will meet in the park in Lebanon Borough New Jersey off of US Highway 22 at 7:00 AM. Michael, N1MNV, will have post assignments. Our operation will be on 147.54 MHz simplex. You will need to bring a handheld radio with a fully charged battery. Bring a spare charged battery as a backup.
Our operation is simple. CRA members will act as parade marshals to get participating units into their proper position in the parade, notifying the net control of any units that do not show up, or are out of order. At parade time, the CRA member(s) assigned to each division of the parade will walk along with their division, advising net control of any gaps in the parade so units leading the parade can slow down the parade to allow gaps to close up. A CRA member will be assigned to the reviewing stand to relay any last minute changes, and members will also assist with street closings and traffic restrictions on side roads.
Please make sure that you are prompt in arriving, as the streets will be closed at 9:00 AM sharp. The text of the parade announcement is reprinted below for your information. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me or Michael.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you Wednesday!
73,
Bob, KA2OEE
