[W2CRA] Old But Working Clothes / Flat Iron Needed

Seems a bit odd but . . .
I need an old (junk, going to be tossed) clothes (flat) iron that still gets hot to help solder the RACES room floor.
The foot wide copper strips that make up the floor ground act like highly efficient heat sinks and don't allow enough heat from the current on-hand tools to make "neat" solder joints; I have to heat the entire overlap area (12" wide by 3" deep) area to the point where the solder flows.
Now . . . the iron alone won't do it but it WILL help heat up the general area enough (I hope) to allow the tools I have to bring the temperature up enough to make the overlapping solder joint.

So please search your closets and ask the XYL. It does NOT need to be pretty - just get hot as hell!  You probably won't want it back when I'm done with it.  In fact the XYL certainly won't!  So no family heirlooms, please.  If you got one and lay hands-on, please let me know.
Thanks,
Bill Powell - WB1GOT
