Mike -

Good message.

As I will be away next week I won't make it to the meetings or picnic.

We need to DO things that spark our members interest AND let the general public
know we exist

Downsizing our repeaters and costs/liabilities is necessary for fiscal health &
people resources - we need more to take part/maintain the repeaters.

A new trailer is a good idea, but cannot be done without defraying costs to a
sponsor(s) as has been discussed before. Keeping the existing trailer may be
viable only for towers/generators that 'may be needed'? As it's 'functional' as
a storage space for rarely used items - it has no cost. If it can be sold -
HA!?
I believe we need to work & plan with our current resources/members & plan
methods of attracting more/ new members through public events, HAM classes and
club activities.

BTW Mike, you and the board are doing a good job. The rest of the members need
to step up (myself included).

Subject: [W2CRA] Referendum

Ladies and Gentlemen and members of the Board

As a club your elected representatives try their very best to enhance and
improve the club experience.

It is my firm belief that we have one of the best boards in years and I want
to thank them for all their hard work and dedication!

Our Treasurer, Bill WB1GOT, has done one hell of a job as treasurer, he's
been the gate keeper saving us money, lowering expenses and keeping us (the
board) sane.

To enhance things we need your input and support!

We've considered:

A) Maintaining the status quo, avoid spending money whenever possible

B) Purchasing a trailer for all of our community service events.

C) Upgrading, repairing and enhancing our repeater system.

I believe that choice A, is slowly killing the club.

I believe that choice B, is a good idea (probably since it was my idea in
the first place).

I'm not so sure about choice C, so few people use the system anymore,
perhaps downsizing and maintaining the system might be a better choice.

In a Democracy, the choice belongs to you the people! Paid members, people
like you!

Come to next week's meeting and let's make a decision by vote, and yes, you
can offer other ideas as well!

Let us all get off our collective asses and make a decision and do
something!

Don't forget the picnic!
