[W2CRA] Get the word out for your club event!

All,

If you are chairman/organizer of a club event, you can spread the word and 
solicit help using both this email list and the club website. Its easy to 
do! Send email to mailto:w2cra at mailman.qth.net with your contact 
information, date(s), time(s) and needs (e.g., you need X operators for a 
public service event, or you want an RSVP to forecast attendance). When I 
see such an announcement here, I'll (virtually immediately) put a similar 
announcement on the club website.

If you don't care to use this mail list but you do want the information 
posted on the website, just send the information directly to me.

There are two relatively close events for which I need information:

  - Skylands Triathalon (September)
  - Equestrian Walk (November)

Are there others? Let the club know by posting an announcement here!

Regarding spam and privacy issues: I will NOT post telephone numbers on 
the website unless you give explicit permission to do so, and I will use 
the "xxx at somewhere.com" format for email addresses on the website; I'm 
not sure this is much of a deterrent to email address gathering bots these 
days, but your email address needs to be recognizable by club members. If 
you wish to NOT have your email address posted on the website in any form, 
let me know, and PLEASE suggest an alternate means for interested folks to 
reach you (one possibility is to use the UPLiNK email address, but this 
burdens the few who have access to that mailbox). In the future, I'll set 
up a "fill in the form" type of response page on the website so email 
addresses do not have to be posted at all.
