Malcolm E. Mayercik, electrical engineer

HIGH BRIDGE — Malcolm E. Mayercik, 64, of High Bridge died Friday (Feb. 1, 2008) at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. He was born April 30, 1943 in Newark and had lived in Parsippany before moving to High Bridge in 1972.

He was the son of the late Emil and Alvina Zrelak Mayercik.

He graduated from Newark College of Engineering, and was an electrical engineer for Vendor Control Services in Cambridge, Mass.

Memberships include the Amateur Radio Operators (ARRL) of New England for 50 plus years, RACES a local radio group, and years ago he was with the High Bridge Civil Defense.

Survivors are his wife of 38 1/2 years, Joan R. Mayercik; a son, Robert M. at home; and a daughter, Christine J. Mayercik at home; one brother, David Joseph of Mt. Gretna, Pa., and one aunt, Olga Garnet of Hershey, Pa.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, High Bridge. Interment, Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
