NJ Assembly Bill A4146 meant to prohibit text messaging while  
driving, also prohibits usage of any "wireless communications device"  
which sure could be interpreted as YOUR two-way transceiver. And it  
does NOT exclude any emergency or amateur radio service usage, unlike  
many scanner bills.

Would be a good idea for ANY ham that operates mobile on ANY band,  
write to the sponsors and co-sponsors of this bill, as well as your  
own state legislative reps.
