   Most of you may not have known him, but Bob
Barns, KB2IKC became a Silent Key this morning
(Tuesday). Bob was a very long time member of the
New Providence Amateur Radio Club, and at this
past Kids Day (Which was featured in the Courier
News, a story by Walter O'Brien) Bob was the voice
of an "ISS Astronaut" talking with kids who
visited the NPARC display station. I particularly
remember Bob because every time I went to the
dentist in Summit, I switched over to the NPARC
frequency and Bob was always there. Bob was also
involved with so many projects, most notably with
seismographs. He was able to see many of the
tremors from around the world from his New
Providence home. 
   Those of us who knew Bob will miss him a lot.
