This seldom heard from charter member wishes all of you the most
successful and happy hamfest. Unfortunately I must work diocesan
convention instead of helping you.
To bring the club up to date, this is my third and last year in
residence
at General Seminary in New York City, where I've also served as
seminarian
assistant at the Church of the Resurrection. Marilyn and I have shuttled
between home here in Manhattan and home near Flemington. I'll be coming
back in June to serve a New Jersey parish following ordination.
I have ham radio in my seminary apartment. There's a 5 element 2M log
periodic aimed at Cherryville, and I do get on occasionally. Also on the
roof top (5 stories high) is a 70 ft. wire for HF ham radio and MARS.
We're about 20 blocks from 'ground zero'.
I've appreciated the continuing presence of amateur radio here,
including
the chatter of your voices in the background sometimes.
Have a great 'Fest.
