Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen

There is a Major Upcoming RACES Drill which will require more operators
at more stations then ever before.

This is the note I received today from the Homeland Security Assistant
Coordinator for Hunterdon County...
(works with and for Harry Shepherd)

"Hi all,
Sorry I didn't get your first message. I am working out a reminder now
to all involved.

November 25, 2003 7pm Tuesday night

I need races at each municipality and at least one at comm center.

Thanks

And I will forward more information in a day or two.

Frank Veneziale"

They want someone (at least) at every municipality (there is 22) in
Hunterdon County
Homeland Security, although slow in coming, is fast becoming Very, Very
Important!

This Community (Hunterdon County) is looking for ways to protect the
community and there is major moneys coming from the Federal Government
almost monthly, lets show them that investing in their local Amateur
Radio Community is Worthwhile.....

There not going to waste money if they can help it but, WE are a
valuable commodity and there considering investing in out radio network
and they want to know that the community (the people who vote) will
benefit so, even though we'll get use of any improvements they make
24/7/365, they also need to know we'll be there when they Need us.

This will take 25 to 30 people to make it work minimum, I want everyone
who commits to find another to bring with them.
With an Amateur Radio License if you can but "help is help" they can
write the messages down (Log them) Training them in the event something
major happens.
